The management of the Agha Khan International Prize has slightly simplified the procedure for submitting documents for the Agha Khan Award in 2019. Now, at the first stage, it is necessary to submit only a detailed list of objects nominated for the Agha Khan Award. The expanded list should include:

• name of the project (object)

• place and year of construction

• the surname and name of the architect, his email and postal address

• a brief description of the project. For example, a 100-bed hospital project, built of brick, has two floors. The project successfully used new technologies (solar panels), mounted on a sloping roof

At the first stage, the Award Office will select the projects according to the description and subject matter, and then will contact the architect with a request to fill out forms and send drawings and photographs of the object.

It should be noted that the Award especially encourages the presentation of projects in rural and mountain landscapes, urban peripherals, and those who design public spaces regardless of the scale of construction. It can be a large complex of buildings and structures, and maybe a small individual apartment building or a small teahouse or a national canteen on the outskirts of a city or village.
